Idea Behind WUSKO
The idea to create WUSKO stuck in mind after studying so many world karate federations, many of which are either pure style federations or multi style groups, which accept only one federation or member per country. Therefore, many federations, associations, clubs or individual members are left outside from world karate groups. Only few world federations offered opportunities for such groups in which all the different styles, federations or associations can join a world body without having to compromise their style or size. In order to provide opportunities to all groups, what ever their style, federation, association, clubs or individuals, we will accept all of them in WUSKO.
Purpose of WUSKO
The purpose of WUSKO (World United Sports Karate Organization ) is to regulate, spread karate in the world with an educational, cultural and sports point of view by promoting karate ethics technical seminars, sports karate and all that is necessary to encourage the spreading of Karate-Do all over the world and to promote friendly and beneficial relations among its members.
The WUSKO is a non-political organization. We will provide its members an opportunity to communicate with like minded karatekas and masters, federations, organizations and share information among one another regardless of styles, religion or nationality. As a world federation, we desire to collectively endeavor to establish a core of members that would surpass all boundaries and promote understanding, respect and technical karate enhancement.
WUSKO will function based on modern way of competition organization, a flexible management focused on the request of the affiliated members, with a continuous improvement system that allows corrections depending on the specifies of the competitions in geographical region, of religion or material conditions. In essence, the body remembers how to move while the mind remembers how to be still.
WUSKO believe that karate is a martial science and a way of life that trains the karatekas to be peaceful, yet has the capability to terminate any opponents with his skill. The journey of karatekas is based on constant training where the body, mind and spirit are developed concurrently through training in kihon, kumite and kata. Hence, karatekas learns to both control and to relinquish control to the movements until the techniques are performed without any difficulty.
This is the main motive of WUSKO, where all like-minded federations, styles, associations, clubs, individuals are welcome. WUSKO favors, spread and organize the discipline of karate making available its access and its practice for all social groups having a sports objective the education, the cultural and relaxation. Federation may develop all the activities contributing directly to the non-political aims mentioned including with in the limits of the federation law.
